Why wait until September to enjoy the fair.  Join the fun as a member of our Fair Volunteer Corps. 
No experience is necessary - just a willingness to help and a few hours of time.  You'll help make the fair a success, have lots of fun and maybe get a sneak peak at what's new this year.  So, don't hesitate.  It's time to get involved.

Family Traditions Contest

What are your family traditions?

The theme for the 2014 Fair is all about family traditions, and we are sponsoring a Family Traditions Contest to recognize and celebrate the traditions of families living in New Kent County.

New Kent students can enter the Family Traditions Contest  and tell their family's story in a poster, poem or photo collage.  All students, ages 5-18 years old who reside in New Kent County, are eligible. First and second place prizes will be awarded within the following groups::  5-8 years, 9-13 years, 14-18 years and special needs students.  Deadline for entries is June 9, 2014.

Join us for our first Miss Happily Ever After Pageant,  sponsored by the New Kent County Fair Association and open to all young women ages 4-24 years.   A unique competition in the pageant is the Once Upon a Time category which  encourages contestants to use their favorite novel for inspiration.
